Train even if you can't go to the gym
Here we go again! Everyone was expecting it, but you have to admit that a tear still flowed from the eye. We accepted the apartment, which has once again turned into an office and school, closed restaurants, and many restrictions without much problem.
The closed gym turned out to be a blow straight to the heart. If you are among those who find it hard to motivate themselves to exercise at home, and going to the gym was a big motivation, this text is for you! Read about why training during lockdown is so important.
Girls, let's agree on one thing at the beginning. A slim figure, flat stomach, and sexy buttocks are very important, but not the most important. Luckily, we don't need a private gym at home or professional equipment to train and take care of ourselves. A high-quality sports top (absolutely essential) and comfortable Leggings are enough. But how to convince yourself to roll out the mat and dedicate an hour to exercise instead of watching another episode of a series on Netflix?
First and foremost - remember that physical activity is not just about a beautiful figure, but primarily about health and immunity!
I don't think we need to convince anyone that this is especially important right now. Workouts increase the efficiency of the circulatory and respiratory systems. Thanks to regular exercise, our body can better cope with infections and simply function better. Here, the principle of 'better something than nothing' also applies, so if you don't feel like a full workout, stretch, practice yoga, or do less intense exercises.
If you were planning to 'give up' before winter (because after all, who will be watching us? ;)) We officially insist - don't do it! Let's operate at full capacity.
Secondly - let's do it for ourselves!
Spending most of the day at home, it's easy to fall into a routine and autumn blues, putting off a healthy lifestyle for 'later.' Rest is important, but it's thanks to exercise that we feel better. During home workouts, endorphins, the happiness hormones, are produced, which directly influence mood improvement. Additionally, endorphins reduce stress levels and block pain. It's worth remembering that it's actually sports that can release them the most. In these times, it's especially worth stimulating the brain to release this hormone to always be in a good mood.
Everything we surround ourselves with, what we eat, how we spend our time, affects how we feel. And now, when we are forced to change our lifestyle, it is worth trying every day, in every aspect, to improve our well-being.
PS chocolate and spicy dishes also provide us with endorphins. Balance above all!
Thirdly - let's make use of this time!
Say what you want, but in our opinion, the lockdown is worth utilizing to 150%. According to research conducted by SW Research on behalf of the Gdańsk University of Banking, during the first social quarantine, 20% of respondents reduced their body mass thanks to a healthy lifestyle. Meanwhile, as many as 36% of those surveyed stated that they prepared meals on their own much more often, avoided processed food, and changed their diet to a healthier one.We already know that the first wave of the pandemic prompted all of us to reflect on health, a balanced diet, and physical activity. Therefore, now is not the time for excuses! On the other hand, it is worth remembering that this is not a competition about who will train the hardest. After all, we are sitting at home, we have more free time, which is worth using so that in the spring we are not looking for a magic way to get fit in 7 days. When if not now? A second chance like this (hopefully) won’t come around again.
If you can't motivate yourself to exercise on your own, take advantage of the offers from personal trainers. Most of them have moved their services online, and their workouts are tailored to home conditions. It’s also worth paying attention to the free workouts that the internet is buzzing with. There are a ton of challenges, training programs, and ready-made exercises at your fingertips. In both cases, it’s worth setting your training schedule. Training on set days, at a fixed time, will help you keep this whole process under control.
